Québec government surplus auctions (CAG)
- What they sell
- Surplus Québec government vehicles and equipment: cars, SUVs, pickups, trucks, snowmobiles, trailers and machinery (loaders, backhoes, graders, snow blowers).
- Area
- Montréal: 3675 boul. Saint-Jean-Baptiste (Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles). Sales are also held in Québec City.
- Format
- Fully online timed auction on the auctioneer's platform, with on-site inspection days before closing. Registration and a refundable $1,000 credit-card deposit are required before inspection.
- Observed frequency
- About three Montréal sales in 2026 (April 29, June 17, September 16), alternating with Québec City.
The CAG sells goods that government departments and agencies no longer need. Lots are sold as is, with no warranty, and a 10% auction fee plus taxes is added to the hammer price, according to the official buyer’s guide. Each sale’s catalogue is hosted by the auctioneer (cag.encanatlasauction.com). Québec.ca offers a newsletter that announces upcoming sales.
Dates, locations and terms change often. Always confirm directly with the auction house or agency before you travel or bid. Montréal Auctions is not affiliated with any organization listed here and sells nothing.
